The first time it has been spotted was around 30 years ago by a Russian scientist by the name of Vladimir Udinov, while he was visiting the United States. He met a girl named Jane Doe on the streets of New York, who tripped on a curb and in two years they got married. However, Jane died within 3 months of their marriage, which left Udinov desperate for answers and his life’s work soon became looking for more people with the same disease as Jane.So far, little is known about the disease, since the first time it has been spotted was around 30 years ago and people affected with this disease are fairly spread out around the world. But, here’s what we know about it from research about people that have been found with the disease. It is caused by a rare genetic mutation in a gene that some of us have. It is an autosomal recessive disorder, meaning that it is inherited and there has to be two copies of the abnormal gene to be present for the disease to occur.
